Thank You

I would like to say a big thank you for what must of been one of the best Prawn Biryani I have had since I have been in Spain The Venue was Posh Pizza, just near Cornish Pride at the bottom end of Consum. It had a take away and it lasted me 2 nights. Staff and owner are all very friendly also.

La Marina

Do you mean Posh Palace if so I completely agree the food there is amazing and so pleased they have now moved to the Urb makes a nice change not to have to drive there. Have you tried the other Indian not sure of the name only went there the once but won't be going back the food was not good and the meat was hard and very fatty. It's definately Posh Palace for me.

It makes me laugh. People are here talking about posh palace and how good there food was when they were down by mercdona and all. Thing is the new Indian that opened up on the Urb was the previous cooks from there.
To be honest I don't like posh palace and can not stand there owner. ( my opinion ).

OMG how rude are you!!!!!!!! Why get personal about people. As for the owners of Posh Palace whenenever I have visted there or the other restaurant they had they have always been really lovely nothing was too much trouble. I gave an honest account of the meal I had at the Curry Mahal and yes I do know that they were the cooks at the original Posh Palace however when I visited the food was crap. (my opinion)!!!!

we must have been very lucky. We go to Curry Mahal on a regular basis and have taken about 8 different people there and theyve all loved it.We all have a different taste in curry and what suits one doesn't suit another but some of the remarks that get posted here are a bit overdone. Why not just state your opinion without being nasty.
WE've tried Posh when it was up by Mercadona and enjoyed it very much and will certainly visit it now it's on the urb. We're so lucky in La Marina to have such a great variety of entertainment and eateries,

Got to be honest Andi when we was over in June we went to the new Posh
Palace and I got to say there food was on par of what I eat in Brick Lane in East London so Posh Palace gets my vote and would not bother going anywhere else and i am terribly fusy
when it comes to food and the service and friendliness was 10 out of 10.

I'm not moaning about the food posh palace do at all. Fact is it says it all that they moved from where they did onto the Urb and the only reason why is because the new one that opened up in the grey area, nothing else nothing more.
When people a bussniess of course you have to put on a smile, be happy say hello pretend to greet every customer like there the most important person in your establishment. It's called being fake. Put it this way outside of the restaurant bussniess you don't get all these smiles and so on. It's like all businesses I don't care who you are or what you do. When a potential buyer / customer comes in to your bar / estate agents / shop / restaurant that fake smile comes out that fake persona comes out. When that person has left regardless of they spent anything you then say to yourself what a as***** ...
Anyone that tells me different is living on cloud nine

Actually Andi the reason they moved to the Urb was that after the Train had stopped running, you had on the Urb that went to the old restaurant had stopped so did slowly the clientele so they had no choice but to stay in business to move to the Urb.

Regards to your fake I would spot that a mile off and i received nothing Fake from them at all

Commented FOX160 in La Marina 2012-07-20 19:31:33 UTC

Grant.

The train stopped two years ago. So it took two years to realise clientele was slowing down.
That's a bit of a lame excuse to be honest.

Well also being that the place where they was also never had taken off and becoming a ghost town, plus I would guess also the good old Brit has to have a drink so driving there was a no no.
So to stay in business they had no choice.

I really don't think this forum is the place for personal vendettas against individuals. I have to say I have seen the owners of posh out an about on the Urb an they were really friendly I can certainly understand why they moved to the Urb there was nothing new opening at the other place and most other places had moved or closed down. Also being on the Urb is great for the customers who now don't have to drive there.

Commented clpellard in La Marina 2012-07-20 21:15:07 UTC

Again.. No personal vendetta... The food was great, as people have been saying. Just like people have been saying the owners are nice ad friendly, my opinion on that is, I don't like them.. That's not a vendetta that's a opinion. People may not like me, may not like you, that's life.

We had a meal at Curry Mahal and it was excellent, highly recommended.

So did we Nicky, and ours was excellent too. Shame we had to remortgage the house to pay for it though! Just too expensive.

Commented Geoff in La Marina 2012-07-23 13:45:53 UTC

I didn't think it was that expensive but then there were only the 2 of us and we only had the main meal and 1 side.
